Pastor’s Bio

Rev. J. DeWitt Clark is a product of the 5th ward Community in Houston, Texas. He is a graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School. He also attended Texas Southern University majoring in physical therapy.

Pastor Clark received his call to the ministry in August 1995 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. M. L. Jackson. He was call to Pastor the New St. Phillip Missionary Baptist Church on April 13, 1998. Under the leadership of Pastor Clark, the church has experience growth in membership and in knowledge through the Word of God. The church is now in a Building Campaign by which we have already acquired land and will erect an edifice equipped for multi-purpose use.

In August 2008, Pastor Clark received his Bachelors of Theology degree from Oikodome’ College of Biblical Studies. In 2010 he received his Masters of Theology from Faith Seminary in Tacoma, WA. He immediately began pursuing his Masters of Divinity with a completion goal of Spring 2017.  In 2015 he was accepted in the Chaplin Program at Methodist Hospital System. Pastor Clark has been married for 25 years to Sister Wanda Diann Clark and has been blessed with a daughter Ja’Natalye Denise Clark.
